Acquisitions - Books

The book acquisition section in involved in the purchase and receipt of books and materials for courses taught in the various departments of the Faculties of Social Sciences and Management and the School of Education.  In addition, the section purchases material for general collection development.

We purchase printed and electronic books, monographic series, DVDs, films, psychological tests, and other materials in coordination with the library's collection development policy.

The section also deals with absorption of book collections donated to the library and books bought through donations and other funds.

In addition, lecturers  and researchers may order, through the acquisition section, books from their research budget, for their personal use.

We also order books for the external and international programs and books recommended by students.

The section works on an annual budget.
