Cataloging and metadata services
The Cataloging and metadata services section is responsible for the organization and ongoing maintenance of the information that is found in the bibliographic information that is in the library's catalog.
The English and Hebrew monographic materials which the section deals with include: books, psychological tests, monographic serials and non-book monographs. These non-books monographs include: electronic texts, discs, electronic reprints, and reading lists.
The handling of electronic materials includes the digitization and electronic editing of theses, reprints and reading lists. Quick preparation of materials is done for books and reprints for courses or for any other materials which are urgently needed.
In addition, the section performs technical preparation for non-electronic material: printing and placing a label on the spine of the book as well as renewing book labels as well as rebinding books.
