Accessibility in the Library
In recent years, Israeli society has been going through a revolution regarding the equal rights of people with disabilities. Tel-Aviv University is actively working to advance the subject of accessibility of the physical and human environment in order to enable people with disabilities to obtain higher education and to be full partners in society. The Library of Social Sciences and Management is a partner in this process with emphasis on accessibility and quality of service for all its patrons.

STEP HEAR system – a navigational and information system for visually impaired people. The system is found (located) at the entrance to the library and is operational for people who have the activator.
LOOP HEAR system – a loop induction system which assists (aids) hearing impaired people. It is located at the Information Desk on the entrance floor.
Tabletop video magnifier which provides the visually impaired a comfortable solution to reading and writing. The magnifier allows the user to enlarge reading materials .The magnification starts at x2.2 and can be increased to x90.
The magnifier has a movable tray so that the reader can easily reach all parts of the document. The magnifier is located near the Reference and Information Desk.
Printers, photocopiers, and scanners in the library
On the entrance floor – in the Reserve Book Hall and in the printing room near the Information Desk
On the middle floor - close to the staircase on the eastern side of the library, near the BK collection
On the ground floor – in the photocopying room (room 101). There is a photocopying machine on a lowered platform accessible for the disabled is found in this room.
